About The Blog

Anchored In A Book is a book blog dedicated to Young Adult books.  While I primary review dystopian novels, I do enjoy reading other genres of books, including classic, mystery, adult fiction, theological and other random books I happen to pick up.  I am a self-proclaimed book nerd, and am always on the lookout for new books to read.  Since my "to-be-read" list is now longer than my hair (and in case you couldn't tell from my header cartoon, my hair is really long), I decided to create a book blog where I can gush about books all day long with other people who love books as much as I do.

Aside from containing book reviews, Anchored In A Book also features various book challenges and a "Throwback Thursday" section, where I bring back a book from my childhood to share with you all.   There is also a section called my "Top 10," where I post my favorite things about all things book-related.  I love hearing other people's feedback on books, and am always open to new book suggestions, so feel free to send me a message or leave a comment. 

Why an anchor?

I'm sure many of you may have noticed I have a whole anchor-theme going on here.  What's the point of that you may be asking yourself? Well, I thought an anchor was appropriate since whenever I'm in reading mode I'm very focused and anchored in my book, and often times will go without eating or sleeping just because I'm so wrapped up in it.
