DAY 9: *FAVORITE FANTASY*

"Your personality - the real you inside - was the price of beauty."    -Scott Westerfeld Uglies

Imagine going through life believing that you're ugly, and that the only way you'll be "pretty" is by undergoing a massive operation that will make you and everyone else supermodel beautiful?  Sounds like a dream come true, huh?

Not quite.

There's no escaping the operation, even if you are blessed with good genes and happen to like the way your face looks now.  Even looking "plain" or "simple" is scoffed at.  What do you mean you don't want cat eyes or to be 7-feet tall?  And refusal to undergo the procedure is dangerous, life-threatening in fact.

Throw in some romance, hover-borading and a secret organization, and you got the Uglies trilogy and one companion book written by Scott Westerfeld.

I highly recommend reading these bad boys if you're in need of a dystopian fix, yet want to feel pretty while doing so.
